Elian spending first full day back in Cuba

Thursday June 29 by Claudia bournecnn
Elian Gonzalez will spend his first full day back in Cuba on Thursday in a house assigned by the government outside Havana with his family and some of his schoolmates. A private jet carrying the 6-year-old boy and his entourage arrived in Havana from Washington on Wednesday at about 8 p.m. after a seven-month odyssey that began with a doomed boat journey to Florida and ended in a protracted battle in the U.S. courts. The Gonzalez family is expected to remain at the large, two-story house in the Havana suburb of Miramar for the next two weeks, before taking a brief vacation and returning home to Cardenas.
